About Lost Cat Search
Lost Cat Search is a free community tool for helping lost cats find their way home across Australia. If your cat has gone missing, post a photo and the details of where they were last seen. Neighbours, passers-by and animal-lovers can then browse recent reports and alert you if they spot them.
How it works
- Report — upload a photo of your cat, where and when they were last seen, and how to reach you.
- Search — browse or filter reports by state, suburb or description.
- Reunite — if someone spots your cat, they can contact you directly from the listing.
Our privacy promise
We collect basic analytics (such as an approximate location derived from a visitor’s IP address) only to understand how the site is used. This information is stored securely, visible only to the site administrator, and never sold or shared. Contact details you provide are shown publicly on your listing so that people can help — please only share what you’re comfortable with.
A note on other lost-pet sites
We aim to complement the great national and local lost-pet services already helping Australian pet owners. Where it’s allowed, we’ll surface additional listings; otherwise we’ll link out so you can check everywhere at once.
